Florida Film Producers' Event of the Year!
Winner of the First Statewide Florida Film Production Competition to be announced

Miami, Florida. Don't miss Florida's version of the Oscars! IFP/Miami announces the First Annual Sunlight Awards Gala, Saturday, May 17, 2003, 6:30 pm, at the Treetop Ballroom in the New Parrot Jungle, on Watson Island, Miami.

Plan now to enjoy an evening filled with celebrities, entertainment, dinner, dancing and cocktails. It's an awesome opportunity to experience Hollywood glamour in our own backyard. Come hear renowned jazz musician Ed Calle.

You're going to love it when we award one lucky local filmmaker with cash and in-kind services to produce a feature film. Over 40 Florida filmmakers submitted applications to this competition and on May 17 the "final six" will vie to see whose name is called. Grand Prize is worth $150,000!

The First Annual Sunlight Award Competition is co-sponsored by the Governor's Office of Film and Entertainment.

Special Awards will be given to acclaimed director (and Palmetto High School graduate) Julie Davis, actor Sam Bottoms of Apocalypse Now and of the upcoming movie Seabiscuit, All About the Benjamin's writer-director (and South Florida resident) Ron Lang, and others. And keep your eyes open for surprise celebrity guests.

(It's confirmed, Dr. Sean Kenniff, one the original "Castaways" of CBS TV Survivor Series will be there!)

Everybody who's anybody in Florida film production will be there.

Many industry-related professionals will be in the crowd. If you work in film, television, public relations, tourism or advertising, you can't afford to miss this event.

Many major corporations are supporting IFP/Miami, including Kodak, IFC Channel, Cinevideotech, Cineworks, Lumina Productions, Film Florida, Florida Production Guide, CSC East Coast, Miami-Dade Mayor's Office of Film and Entertainment, City of Miami, City of Miami Beach, Levi Strauss, Prop Central, Production Hub, The Phone Doctor, Tropic Survival, Jerry Bell, Final Draft, and others.

Don't be left out! Corporate sponsor opportunities are still available at $900 per table. Individual tickets are $100 and dress is black tie chic.

Please support the arts by joining us on May 17. You can e-mail or call to purchase a ticket by calling (305) 538-8242. And please feel free to pass this invitation along to your friends and colleagues as well.
